Kate Hudson Shares Swimsuit Photos of "Good Energy"
Kate Hudson is bringing the good energy in her swimsuit. In one of her latest social media posts the actress and entrepreneur flaunts her amazing figure in an orange bathing suit. "Good energy for long weekend," she captioned the Instagram photo. How does the 44-year-old keep herself surrounded by positive energy? Here are a few of her top lifestyle and mental health habits.
"Meditation has saved my sanity. Not that I was crazy, but in this world of hyperspeed, overstimulation, no escape from technology, and constant emotional stress, it's very hard to stay centered and grounded," Hudson wrote in Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body. "And yet, since I've integrated meditation into my daily life – which doesn't mean I do it every day – I feel so much more at ease, knowing that I can re-center myself when life feels out of control."
At the Forbes Women's Summit Kate discussed the "discipline" of mental health, which often go hand in hand. "We put a lot of stress on ourselves and we don't acknowledge it a lot of the time," she said during her discussion with Good Morning America anchor Amy Robach. "But I think by learning how to do that and be honest with yourself, that's the first step to being more motivated."
Kate is a big fan of Julianne Hough's KINRGY workout, a "high-sensory activated dance method," she told Women's Health. "What she's created is more about energy shifting and transformation than it is about working out. It's a very liberating movement. It's really important [to let] go of held energy."
Kate only does workouts that make her happy. "We are all individual people with individual needs, desires, and likes—and we have to find what makes us happy and what moves us," Kate explained to Women's Health. "If you like to ride your bike, go for a bike ride. If you like to hike, go for a hike. If you like to swim, [swim]."
Digital detoxes help the star reconnect with herself. "I think one of the most important things we can do for our happiness, our health, and for our connections to people—which is a huge part of our wellness—is to [put the phone down]," Kate told Women's Health. "We need to tuck them away for hours. We shouldn't bring them to the table, we should put them away with our children. We should be connecting with each other."
