Early Life
Born on Monday, the 5th of November, 1984, Dunsin Oyekan hails from Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
He grew up as the only son of his parents.
His father had a major say on his choice of music, songwriting, and playing of instruments.

He usually took him to series of musical concerts and other related Christian events just to spark his interest more.
Dunsin Oyekan started playing guitar as early as 10 years of age.
It was also said that his father said prophetically that He could see the dead coming back to life through him when Dunsin was younger.
His father, Pastor Gbadebo Oyekan was one of the pioneers of the Pentecostal move in the nation and he was also the leader of “Spiritual Singers”, a music group in Ilorin.
At some point, his father wanted him to study Music at the University, unfortunately, that reality didn’t come to pass due to some reasons.
Education
Dunsin Oyekan attended the Airforce Nursery and Primary School, Ilorin, and then attended Federal Government College (FGC), Ilorin.
He later completed his secondary education at the Baptist Model High School, Ilorin.
He gained admission into the University of Ilorin, where he graduated as an Industrial Chemist.
Career and Ministry
Dunsin Oyekan has several platforms with which he reaches out with the Gospel; He is the organizer of the Healing Room Worship Event, the Code Red Worship Concert, the Victory Tour, and many other musical concerts which takes place annually.
In 2016, he released his debut album, Code Red which had 14 tracks.
In 2019, he released another album named, Kingdom Now which had 20 tracks.
In this year 2020, he released more songs like More Than a Song, Fragrance to Fire, and At All Cost, and the most popular one; Imole De which has become a well-known worship song in churches in Nigeria.
So far, Dunsin Oyekan has successfully released over thirty songs, including the popular song, Na You, which featured Kim Burrell, an American gospel singer, in 2016.
He has also shared the stage with different popular gospel artists like Tasha Cobbs, Don Moen, Kurt Carr, Byron Cage, William Murphy, Sinach, Tasha Page-Lockhart, Kim Burrell, Frank Edwards, Tye Tribbett, and Freke Umoh.

Personal Life
Dunsin Oyekan got married to his University Classmate, Adedoyin Oyekan on the 2nd of February, 2013. The marriage is blessed with two children.
Sadly, his wife, Adedoyin Oyekan died on Saturday, 18th of May, 2019. Dunsin Oyekan has taken this great shock in good faith trusting God for a better future.
He accredits his father as his driving force and the sole reason for going into gospel music.
Sadly, his father passed away on the 30th of March, 2015 – an experience he described as the most excruciating event in his life.
