Texas Rangers Adding Pre- And Post-Game Concerts To Line-Up
(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers are adding pre-and post-game concerts at Ameriquest Field in Arlington, Texas this season. The team is building a grandstand north of the third base entrance, where the grassy area around the bandstand will have a seating capacity of 8,000.
Plans call for 10 to 12 concerts a year, and anyone with a baseball ticket can attend. Those only wanting to attend the concert will still have to purchase a game ticket. The concerts, ranging from oldies to rock to country, will run about one hour.
Five pre-game shows are tentatively scheduled for April 1 (exhibition), April 8, May 27, September 2 and September 16; the four tentatively scheduled post-game shows are April 3 (Opening Day), June 16, July 1, July 28 and August 12. Pre-game concerts will take place prior to the evening games, which start at 7:05 pm; post-game concerts will hit the stage following the day games, which start at 1:05 pm. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
